DO THE RIGHT TING!
ORGANIZATION FOR RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE
Although The Bahamas is making some steps in the direction of “integrity” - mainly in the areas of freedom of information, there is a lack of political will to push the “anti-corruption” agenda, coupled with a general disaffection of the public in this regard.
What is needed is a change from a “culture of corruption” to a “culture of integrity.” But what does this mean and how do we get there? To promote bottom-up change, we need to focus on the individual. “Do The Right Ting” aims to show Bahamians that they are part of an everyday (often unconscious) problem, how they are (often unconsciously) impacted, and how “doing the right thing, even when nobody’s watching” (C.S Lewis) is the best way forward for them as individuals and for the country as a whole.
